Senior Associate, Business Development

The Senior Associate plays a key role on the Business Development (BD) team in supporting agency growth by managing strategic proposals, ensuring accurate pipeline management, identifying new opportunities, and providing support for the EVP of Business Development and the Executive Leadership Team. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across the agency. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, coachable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Opportunity Identification & Outreach

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, industry partnerships, and potential high-value clients
  • Conduct outreach for The First Call and work with leadership to conduct outreach for prospective partners to initiate conversations and build early-stage relationships.

RFP & Proposal Management

  • Help with the development of RFP responses, from initial outline through final delivery.
  • Create compelling, on-brand presentation materials using Google Slides.
  • Maintain a master library of past proposals, case studies, and reference material in Google Sheets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—web, research, PR, creative, digital, events, etc.—to gather information and ensure proposal accuracy and alignment.

CRM, Reporting & Revenue Tracking

  • Manage the Salesforce CRM by tracking sales opportunities, updating opportunity stages, and maintaining monthly pipeline spreadsheets.
  • Reconcile business development revenue monthly to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Review the monthly revenue reports and align them with Salesforce dashboards, updating records as needed.
  • Update monthly pipeline reports to be shared with executive leadership.

Business Development Organization & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with the EVP of BD and other executive leaders to support high-level initiatives and keep all BD materials current and organized.
  • Organize, update, and maintain all BD-related files and assets across Google Drive, Salesforce, Monday.com, and internal databases.
  • Serve as the primary information hub for the BD pillar, ensuring team members can easily access historical materials, past proposals, insights, and supporting documents.
  • Partner with internal pillars to prepare client-ready presentations and ensure timely, polished delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills; comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly responsive with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and highly responsive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Coachable and open to feedback, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience using Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs). 
  • Salesforce experience.
  • Works well under tight deadlines.
  • Passion for golf, sports, travel, real estate, and other adjacent industries.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality, strategic proposal materials on tight deadlines.
  • Maintains accurate forecasting and reporting that support executive decision-making.
  • Effectively supports partnership development and contributes to achieving (and exceeding) annual BD revenue goals.
  • Acts as a reliable point of contact and collaborator across multiple internal pillars.
  • Easily tracks, organizes, and updates materials across multiple platforms—including Google Drive, Salesforce, and Monday.com.
  • Works closely and responsively with the EVP of Business Development, demonstrating strong communication, organization, and follow-through on BD pillar needs.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of business development and marketing agency experience is preferred. 
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), and project management platforms (such as Monday.com and Slack). Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to industry conferences and other new business meetings, sometimes on short notice.
  • This position is based at Buffalo’s headquarters in Charleston, SC; however, open to remote candidates.

  • Anticipated salary range for this role is $55,000- $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
